2015 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Jumping™ Final, Barcelona, Spain

 

The Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final took place in Barcelona, Spain this past September 24-27, 2015. The final was hosted at the Real Club Polo de Barcelona where the event will be hosted again next year due to its great success. The Nations Cup involved 45 countries from 6 regions, and only the best 19 amongst them qualified at the final in which there was a further distinction between 1st and 2nd final round.

The first round of 19 teams took place on Thursday, were the winning team of the first round was Belgium. This team went to Barcelona as the absolute favorite as they had manage to win the overall season. The 8 teams who got the ticket for the final was Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain, the United States, the Netherlands, Ireland and Switzerland.Besides the great success of competing in the big Final was the prize money of 1.5 million euro.

Ten consecutive USEF-rated shows offer exhibitors an extensive range of Hunter/Jumper classes and over $3 million in prize money. HITS Ocala culminates each March with the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix. Added to the upcoming 2015-2016 show schedule are two new USEF-rated shows – the Ocala Holiday Series – in mid-December, making HITS Post Time Farm in Ocala, Florida, a prime winter destination.

HITS moved to Post Time Farm in 2002, where exhibitors take advantage of 450 lush acres with 52 miles of four-board fence. In 2014, a new Grand Prix stadium was built, and in February 2015, HITS Ocala was pleased to host the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup, presented by Edge Brewing Barcelona. Looking ahead to 2016, HITS Ocala will debut a $100,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby during Week VI and pending approval, the FEI Nations Cup will return to Post Time Farm mid-circuit.
